Your role

Join our team as a Senior Project Manager for our Federal Business Unit.

In this role, you’ll join our team of experts who lead major capital building and infrastructure projects. As the Senior Project Manager you act as a trusted advisor to our clients, representing their interests at all times to multiple stakeholders and providing technical and project leadership to the teams they oversee.
Our people are not only Project Managers, they are Project Leaders who take a client centric approach to project delivery.

Responsibilities:

 •  Support the development and management of complex major capital projects varying in size and scope in the public sector relating to educational, municipal or other institutional buildings, facilities and essential infrastructure
 •  Manage various project stakeholders from public and private sectors to represent their best interests regarding contractual and technical issues, manage change and resolve issues
 •  Strong knowledge of various construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
 •  A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with local and regional teams
 •  Planning and coordinating project management activities including procurement, risk, cost, schedule, scope, record management
 •  Ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to projects
 •  Provide financial framework, forecasts and reports
 •  Working with a variety of project management tools such as Microsoft Projects, MS Word, MS Excel, etc.
 •  Formulating and managing project plans by defining deliverables, identifying and procuring necessary resources, identifying key milestones and reviewing project progress
 •  Preparing, on a monthly basis, project progress reports on project status, project schedules, project expenditures and impending actions

Qualifications:

 •  7-10 years of experience in project management
 •  Project management experience within the Federal Government is preferred
 •  A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture or related discipline
 •  Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills
 •  Exceptional business writing ability and previous experience writing business cases considered an asset
 •  Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
 •  PMP designation, P.Eng., OAA or other industry recognized credentials is an asset
 •  Must hold or be eligible for Federal Government security clearance at the Secret level
