Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join the financial team. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing accurate financial reports to senior management.
This position does not require professional accounting designations but does require someone with a strong background in accounting within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis, and commentaries.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Analyze financial information to assist business profitability and growth.
• Coordinate with finance team members and other departments to consolidate financials for management review.
• Provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
• Review company liabilities, revenue, and expenses to ensure they are accurately recorded.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting systems and policies for the setup.
