VP of Infrastructure

The Vice President of Infrastructure will be a lead employee at Lumen IT in the special accounts division. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with and delivering services to Lumen IT clients who require the highest-level of managed IT services.
Your role will span multiple IT environments for clients, for which you will also act as a go between upper management and Windows teams, while working closely with Customer Success teams, Engineering teams, Quality Assurance (QA) teams, and Development Operations (DevOps) teams to address complex issues and the needs of the client’s customers.

Specific job duties will be:

 •  Develop and maintain a roster of clients with a need for high-level managed IT services.
 •  Ensure clients’ IT service needs are met and exceeded.
 •  Act as the main communication bridge between Lumen IT’s President and clients, to ensure open channels are maintained.
 •  Plan and supervise a hybrid network/server infrastructure from the ground up for multiple projects, utilizing a corporate Software as a Service (SaaS) and Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solutions.
 •  Guide client’s strategy and direction in developing its cloud IT infrastructure, in conjunction with clients’ executive teams.
 •  Assist with the planning and development of new technologies for clients that ensure the redundancy, scalability, and reliability of the cloud-based infrastructure. Utilize existing best practices from cloud vendors such as AWS and Azure, as well as proprietary solutions.
 •  Gather and supervise teams of client employees, spanning multiple countries, spanning multiple countries. Implement the best IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) strategies and essential IT tools to ensure the client's scalability and manageability.
 •  Support a client’s internal team in enhancing their skills in networking, cloud computing, and server administration based on your personal skills and learning materials obtained from partners.
 •  Engage with top client networks and customers, including large educational, private sector, and governmental institutions.
 •  Plan a budget for clients’ IT department. Develop a model of services with a predictable cost strategy that can meet clients’ needs.

Requirements

Experience/Skills (Required)
 •  Strong Knowledge of the Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS), Network (static and dynamic routing, ipsec, nat, security, VLSM), Microsoft servers ecosystem.
 •  Proven experience developing and executing a strategic vision for IT infrastructure that aligns with overall business objectives.
 •  Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams in an IT infrastructure environment.
 •  Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve organizational goals.
 •  Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
 •  Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
 •  Experience in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent.
 •  Implementing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance and effectiveness of the infrastructure team.
 •  Capable of providing regular reports to executive leadership on infrastructure-related activities and accomplishments.
 •  Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
 •  Must be fluent in English and at least one other language. Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian is highly preferred.
 •  Live and have authorization to work in Canada, with the ability to travel internationally when required, and to obtain the necessary immigration visas.

Education/Credentials (Required)
 •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, required (additional certifications in related field will be considered a bonus).

Wage Range

$88.00 - $90.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 39 hours per week
