PHOTOGRAPHER

We are seeking a creative and skilled Photographer to capture high-quality images that align with Made by Gather’s vision and marketing goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in various types of photography, including commercial, product, food styling and lifestyle photography.

You will work with our Creative Services team and collaborate closely with our marketing team to produce compelling visual content for both digital and print platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Capture high-quality images for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to product photography, lifestyle photography, and editorial on a fast productive pace to meet high volume production needs (average 50 assets a week).
  • Ability to take briefs and execute production based on brand direction and feedback.
  • Plan and organize shoots and sets, including lights, arranging products, props and food as necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with photography trends and continuously improve skills to maintain cutting-edge visual content.
  • Ensure consistency in visual style across different platforms, including websites, social media, and print materials based on brand guidelines.
  • Select, track, and share touch-up files and annotations in a timely way.
  • Support postproduction with edit and retouch images using industry-standard software based on high volume deliverables withing tight deadlines (e.g., Adobe Suite) to meet the required quality and aesthetic.
  • Maintain and manage photography equipment, ensuring all tools are in proper working condition and organized by all time.
  • Scout and select appropriate locations for outdoor shoots, ensuring optimal lighting and setting.
  • Maintain a comprehensive image archive and ensure easy accessibility for team members.
  • Collaborate with production managers, creative directors, and marketing to understand the vision and purpose of a shoot.
  • Develop creative ideas and concepts that align with each brand’s guidelines and project goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional photography experience, preferably in a consumer product environment.
  • Proficiency with professional photography equipment (e.g., DSLR cameras, lenses, lighting setups).
  • Expertise in post-production software such as Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, etc.
  • Solid understanding of lighting, composition, and color correction techniques with the ability to set-up the set independently.
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates diverse photography styles and projects.
  • Ability to produce unique and engaging visuals that reflect the company’s brand.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce or product-focused photography.
  • Knowledge of social media content creation, trends, and optimization
