What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will report to the Senior Marketing Manager and work closely with a specialized team of marketers, agency partners, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative campaigns that strengthen RBC’s position amongst target communities and segments such as Newcomers to Canada.You will assist with developing and executing high-impact marketing initiatives aimed at improving brand perception, driving acquisition, and enhancing client value and retention efforts. We are seeking a proven marketer who excels at strategic thinking and storytelling, bringing innovative ideas to the table, and ensuring a smooth execution of campaigns.
Working with the Senior Marketing Manager, stakeholders and functional teams, the Marketing Manager will support the planning and execution of the awareness, acquisition and/or nurturing marketing strategies to bring innovative and best-in-class campaigns to life.
What will you do?- Manage and execute integrated marketing campaigns, and client nurturing and engagement programs through channels such as digital, social, traditional, and in-branch media.
- Apply an insight-driven approach to lead, develop, and deliver strategic frameworks, recommendations, and campaign briefs that include execution, post-analysis, and presentations.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders to drive campaign development and execution.
- Act as a center of expertise on the unique needs, mindsets, and behaviours of the consumer segments and how they are influenced by cultural norms and beliefs, translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
- Ideate and implement data-driven content and thought-leadership assets to improve client retention and nurture existing relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Track and analyze marketing performance to optimize plans based on key performance metrics.
- Manage, forecast, and track marketing budget, highlighting areas of focus and cadence of spend to the fiscal.
- Monitor competitive market and immigration trends to inform effective, forward-thinking strategies.
- Adapt and engage in additional projects beyond main segmentation as required.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have- A university or college degree and/or MBA in Marketing or associated discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of marketing experience, including digital, social, mass, direct/email, retail, and content marketing.
- Demonstrated success in driving acquisition through digital performance marketing campaigns (including SEM, social media, SEO, video, and display)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and experience in insight/data-driven marketing and performance measurement.
- Collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills; Positive, professional attitude focused on results and delivering value to clients.
- Ability to voice innovative ideas, convey unique perspectives and challenge conventional approaches to marketing.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills - comfortable presenting to internal leadership and external partners
- Self-starter, excellent project management & organizational skills
- Adaptability, open and resilience, with creative and out-of-the-box problem-solving capabilities
- Cultural knowledge of South Asian and/or East Asian communities
- Bilingualism an asset (English/French or other languages such as Punjabi, Hindi, or Simplified/Traditional Chinese)
- Strong understanding of consumer segment journey. International experience is an asset.
- Media and/or Creative agency experience is an asset.
- Proficiency in digital analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics)
