About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Industrial Designer to collaborate on an exciting project with a first-time founder building a sustainability-focused brand. This is a unique opportunity to shape products that prioritize eco-friendly materials, innovative functionality, and cutting-edge design to create meaningful impact.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can transform ideas into tangible, market-ready products while aligning with the brand’s mission of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop sustainable product concepts that balance form, function, and environmental impact.
- Conduct research on materials, manufacturing methods, and sustainable design trends to inform product development.
- Create sketches, 3D models, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the founder to understand their vision, values, and target audience.
- Work with manufacturers to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable.
- Optimize product designs for scalability, durability, and minimal environmental footprint.
- Stay informed on innovative sustainable design techniques and industry best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with startups or first-time founders.
- Knowledge of lifecycle analysis (LCA) and certifications related to sustainable product design.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques and technologies.
