We’re looking for a dedicated Rail Industry Project Manager to oversee multiple sub-projects within a large program based in Ontario. This role involves engaging directly with clients and key stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects within a program, implementing core principles like scope and resource management, change control, risk management, and documentation.
  • Work with the Programme Manager to identify and mitigate risks, manage project costs, and feed into financial reports.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, providing solutions, and driving project progress.
  • Ensure projects adhere to SCC guidelines and manage Health & Safety risks.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Handle procurement processes for subcontractors, ensuring budgets align with project needs.

Key Competencies and Experience:

  • Proven track record managing high-value programs with multiple stakeholders, within the rail industry.
  • Expertise in managing large projects through full lifecycles, including budget management, reporting, resource conflict resolution, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Changepoint) and CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics), alongside excellent Excel skills.
  • Strong oral and written skills in English, with the ability to negotiate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A results-oriented, proactive approach to meet varied client demands, with excellent organization to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel across North America to support project delivery.
  • Knowledge of the rail industry or experience delivering projects in the rail environment.
  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM).
