Are you an analytical powerhouse with a passion for data-driven decision-making? Join our Health Intelligence and Analytics team and play a key role in advancing health strategy through innovative data solutions. As a Specialist, Health Analytics, you will lead complex analytics projects that drive policy development, operational planning, and health system performance measurement.Your work will directly impact how health services are delivered and optimized for Peel Region residents.
Your Impact- Lead Complex Data Analysis – Conduct advanced statistical analysis and data mining to uncover trends, validate assumptions, and optimize health system linkages.
- Innovate Data Visualization – Design and develop sophisticated dashboards, interactive tools, and visual analytics to translate data into actionable insights for decision-makers.
- Drive Data Governance – Establish protocols for health data sharing, integration, and compliance with PHIPA regulations.
- Enhance Decision-Making – Provide expert guidance on data access, security, predictive modeling, performance measurement, and data-driven policy development.
- Optimize Analytics Tools – Manage data tools, subscriptions, and platforms to maximize return on investment for health analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate Across Sectors – Build strong relationships with internal teams, senior management, IT specialists, and external health partners to support strategic health initiatives.
- Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field, with 5+ years of direct experience (including internships and co-ops).
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with SAS, SPSS, STATA, R, ArcGIS, and advanced data visualization tools (e.g., D3, Processing, ggplot).
- Advanced Analytics Skills: Proven ability in predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical analysis, and pattern recognition to extract valuable insights.
- Programming & Database Management: Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Python, and data management techniques.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate data insights into policy recommendations that drive real-world impact.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable manner to leadership teams and diverse stakeholders.
- Certifications (Preferred): SAS Certifications, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).

Work Mode:
In this role, you’ll benefit from a hybrid work arrangement that fosters meaningful in-person connections. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in-person and remote work to balance organizational priorities and employee flexibility.
