Network Architect (Fortinet)

Position Description: Location: Montreal Bilingualism: French/English is an asset The CGI-GTO Montreal Network team manages internal and external client environments, providing solutions in LAN/WAN connectivity, security, SD-WAN, collaboration, unified communications, and cloud computing.
The team works with vendors such as Cisco, Check Point, and Fortinet (including Fortinet suite: FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, etc.). Your future duties and responsibilities: Partner with clients to analyze needs and define deliverables.
Translate business needs into technical solutions for approval. Assess network requirements and impacts across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, security, IP telephony, and wireless. Design, implement, and optimize Fortinet SD-WAN solutions for improved network performance and security.
Create infrastructure documentation (diagrams, implementation plans, etc.). Configure telecommunications equipment based on implementation plans. Collaborate with architects, project managers, and operations teams. Evaluate results, service quality, and adjust plans as needed.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 5-10 years managing large, complex networks. Strong expertise in LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, etc.). Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, etc.), as well as Cisco and Check Point. Experience designing networks for campus and enterprise data centers.
Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (Radius, Tacacs), VPNs, and IP telephony (Cisco). Proficiency in automation & scripting, Linux, and network security (DDoS protection, monitoring). Preferred Skills: Cloud networking (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

Python, Ansible, and network automation. Wireless technologies. Strong documentation and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively.
