Software Engineer

You will be responsible for resolving issues through a ticketing system, via phone, or email.

• Pay rate: $25/hour.
• Location: Ajax, ON
• Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
• Job type: 12-month contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance through the ticketing system, phone, or email.
• Manage and resolve tickets in a timely manner while adhering to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Provide hardware and software support to end-users.
• Troubleshoot technical issues remotely.
• Set up and install Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Provide support for Microsoft applications, including Teams, Visio, Project, and Access.
• Image PCs and perform basic network troubleshooting.
• Perform basic Active Directory tasks such as modifications to group memberships and password resets.
• Create and update IT documentation to ensure proper record-keeping.
• Document all requests, problems, and resolutions in logs.
• Identify and suggest improvements in systems and processes.

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• A High School Diploma is required; College diploma preferred.
• Ability to pass criminal and background checks.
