Senior Corporate Accountant

Our Vancouver based client is currently looking to hire a Senior Corporate Accountant for their team! The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting leadership team and the growing operation with full-cycle accounting and financial statement preparation function.

In this role, the Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for:

• Managing full-cycle accounting including processing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and General Ledger reconciliations
• Assisting with the month-end, quarter-end and preparing year-end close process
• Providing supporting documents, reconciliations, and supporting the annual audit process
• Preparing monthly intercompany reconciliations and various month-end reporting, as well as preparing intercompany invoices
• Preparing monthly GST/PST reconciliations and returns
• Assisting with the preparation of consolidated financial statements adhering to IFRS & ASPE, as well as notes disclosure and schedules (and even potentially MD& A)
• Supporting the leadership team with corporate taxes/T2 such as tax calculations, tax accruals, tax reconciliations and tax return preparations
• Supporting the accounting team with any budgeting and forecasting and variance analysis process as well in the long-run
