Accountant

We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting tasks, including the oversight of complete journal entries, general accounting-related tasks, and month-end close activities.

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reporting, account coding, and reviewing payables.
• Manage cash balances and process bank payments.
• Prepare and enter journal entries to meet month-end accounting requirements.
• Conduct month-end reconciliations to the general ledger.
• Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports and statements.
• Assist with global reporting requirements and provide support on internal and external audits.
• Drive agreed initiatives, propose new initiatives, and adopt a continuous improvement mindset.
• Review and post accounts payable batch transactions.
• Handle calculations for entries and manage timelines effectively.
• Communicate clear and concise information across all departments and levels.
