Position Overview

TNC Windows is seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating precise technical drawings and plans for windows and related products, ensuring they meet design specifications, structural requirements, and client needs.

• Create detailed technical drawings and designs for windows, frames, and related components using CAD software.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand specifications and requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and company specifications.
• Revise drawings based on feedback and changes to project scope or requirements.
• Maintain an organized database of all drawings and revisions for easy access.
• Work with production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Perform material and size calculations to ensure accuracy in designs.

• Education: Diploma or degree in drafting, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in drafting (experience in windows, construction, or fenestration is a plus). Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.

• Strong understanding of technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to windows and fenestration.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software.
• Knowledge of thermal performance and energy eciency standards in window design.
• Familiarity with fabrication techniques and materials used in the window industry.

• Required: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar drafting tools.
• Preferred: SketchUp, Bluebeam, or Rhino for advanced modeling and presentations.

Legal Canadian Citizenship
