The location in Montreal, (Quebec, Canada), is seeking talent to fill the position of Senior Human Resources Business Partner. This job is full-time permanent.

Overview: Reporting to the Sr Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner provides strategic business partnership to leaders and contribute to the improvement, implementation and administration of HR initiatives, policies, and programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic business partnership to leaders with focus on talent management, performance management, leadership development and conflict management and partner with cross-functional teams across Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits as it related to projects and best practices.
  • Facilitate change initiatives with HR counseling and coaching. Advice and counsel managers on a variety of topics to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide service to managers in annual HR processes such as year-end review and compensation planning including but not limited to, validating employee hierarchy, leader reports and presentations on budget updates.
  • Provide service to employees, including answering questions regarding benefits, pension plan, policy interpretation and application, corporate programs and practices, etc and manage the work cycle from the onboarding to the termination of the employee.
  • Contribute to the improvement, implementation of administration of HR initiatives, policies, and programs.
  • HR compliance reporting + Data analytics - Turnover, etc.
  • Help lead and provide support for special HR committees and projects (Mtl : Social Committee, Health & Safety committee).

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Must purposefully and strategically understand the Clients groups.
  • Direct accountability for HR strategy execution within the business function.
  • Interface with business functions management to implement programs, policies and initiatives that supports business needs.

Key Skills:

  • Communication - Excellent skills (oral and written) in French and English. (English is mandatory as this role requires working with US partners on a regular basis.)
  • Strong knowledge of provincial legislation and labour standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to make good decisions quickly using experience and judgment, even when working with incomplete information or under pressure.
  • Adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to manage multiple files at once and meet deadlines, while delivering quality results.

Required Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience - 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Education - Completed Bachelor’s degree in Human Ressources or Industrial Relations.
