JOB TITLE: Cultural Services Assistant - Student

HOURS OF WORK: 35 hour workweek
LOCATION: Hybrid Model – when working onsite, you will report to the location of West Tower.
HOURLY RATE: $20.21 per hour

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Reporting to the Supervisor, provide administration and program support to the Cultural Services Division, focusing on the delivery

of programs and services that engage and benefit the community.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as related to the division.
  • File and organize documents, review applications for cultural initiatives, and prepare materials such as PowerPoint presentations for meetings and events.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of programs, such as workshops, public art installations, and community booth activations.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required.
  • Perform data entry and maintain databases related to cultural services.
  • Ensure adherence to Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures, and Health and Safety Standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the division.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

EDUCATION:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a post-secondary program.

OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS:

  • Commitment to learning and applying new skills in a practical setting.
  • Detail orientated and high degree of initiative.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Submit or agree to a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
  • Possession or willingness to obtain a current Standard First Aid / CPR / AED certification from an accredited organization.
