Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Bilingual Law Clerk to join our client's team on a temporary contract basis. This remote role offers a competitive hourly rate of $57.14 CAD. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of relevant legal experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a variety of legal and corporate tasks, primarily in English and French.
You will be responsible for supporting a variety of legal operations, such as contract management, corporate governance, and legal filings.
- Pay rate: $57.14/hour.

- Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities:
- Triaging contract requests, primarily for SMBs; managing CLM queue and assessing priorities.
- Managing expiring agreements (notifying the business when new agreements are required vs. those that will auto-renew).
- Reviewing simple CRM ads, ensuring the inclusion of standard disclaimer language.
- Handling corporate governance filings.
- Responding to governmental requests, including data requests, surveys, and garnishments.
- Managing signature processes and related documentation.
- Assisting with Small Claims work, including compiling, serving, and filing documents.
- Opening and managing legal files, including retainer letters.
- Maintaining a log of litigation file statuses.
- Processing infractions (ensuring pleas are filed on time and sharing documents with outside counsel).
- Coordinating tax profile compliance, ensuring communication is sent to drivers, and tracking project completion rates.
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Minimum of 4 years of similar experience in a legal or law clerk role.
- Fluent in both English and French (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of corporate governance and legal filings.
- Previous experience in managing legal documents, including contracts, corporate filings, and government requests.
