About Our Client
Our client is a multi-trade contractor based in Waterloo. Our client focuses on projects across commercial, industrial, water and wastewater fields.
Job Description- Project Coordination and Meetings:
- Lead project kick-off meetings, download meetings, and pre-construction sessions to establish clear project expectations
- Collaborate closely with Site Supervisors, Project Coordinators and Estimators to create and regularly update construction schedules
- Lead project teams, coordinating with clients, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, project coordinators, site supervisors, and on-site personnel
- Assign roles and responsibilities within the project team and monitor progress
- Manage all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and general correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients on assigned projects, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring that expectations are managed
- Keep the Construction Operations Manager informed on project status, challenges, and budgetary concerns. Maintain thorough documentation for each project phase
- Provide feedback to the estimators for future tenders
Budget and Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure profitability
- Oversee progress billing by preparing accurate monthly billing breakdowns and coordinating with finance teams to expedite receivables and payables
- Follow up with the client for payment approval/payment certificate
- Review Maestro dashboard daily to ensure prompt approval of purchase orders and payables invoices
- Coordinate with the Contract Administrator to complete subcontractor contracts and purchase orders
Safety Compliance and Incident Management:
- Ensure site personnel adhere to safety guidelines by conducting orientations, safety talks, inspections, and meetings in line with WSIB, MOL, and COR standards
- Identify project-specific risks and develop contingency plans. Work closely with the Construction Operations Manager to escalate and address critical issues as they arise
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all activities meet quality and regulatory standards. Document any quality deviations and implement corrective actions

The Successful Applicant- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership skills with a positive attitude
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all personnel and subtrades
- Excellent communication skills to interact with consultants, owners, subtrades, suppliers, governing authorities, and various company departments
- Organized with a keen attention to detail
- Experience with water and wastewater treatment plants is an asset
