Our client is a leader manufacturer instrumentation, control and low voltage power cables industry is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join their growing team.
The Production Supervisor is the front-line leader bearing significant responsibility for the safety, productivity, and behaviors of all hourly production employees on their shift. Please note that this role is Continental Night Shift.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and Communicate Shift Production Objectives
  • Establish Manpower Assignments
  • Perform standardized work
  • Immediate Problem Solving for QHSE or Production Issues.
  • Support New Process/Product launch initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Materials (Inventory) Management procedures.
  • Maintain ERP system Accuracy
  • Conduct daily Advanced Safety Audit and Layered Process Audit.
  • Reporting of all HSE Incidents during shift using IR Database.
  • Support NCR Disposition Process.
  • Ensure adherence to site HSE policy and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing process standards Quality System procedures.
  • Maintain an active role in the JHSC.
  • Ensure 5S housekeeping standards are maintained and improved.
  • Maintain positive labour relations by building employee morale and ensuring HR policies are applied fairly and consistently.
  • Manage Hourly Payroll Documentation.
  • Manage Employee training Process.
  • Manage Employee Suggestion and Recognition systems.
  • Conduct Annual Employee Performance Evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in supervisory role.
  • Minimum college degree education
  • JHSC Certification, APICS Certificate in Production and Inventory Management, SMS Certification - Preferred.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of production and safety management, occupational health and safety and employment standards legislation.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001/TS16949/CSA Z299.3 quality systems.
  • Knowledge of World Class manufacturing techniques such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, JIT, Lean, TQM, Kan Ban, COQ, ERP, etc.

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
