Senior Business Analyst with Powershell, Python and SQL experience to support a retail risk project with one of our major banking clients - 36786

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday

• Business group: GTA - Treasury Technology

The Retail Risk Analytics Engineering (RRAE) team supports various stakeholders Global Risk Management (GRM) - Retail Models and Analytics Team, Regulatory Capital, IFRS9 provisioning & Enterprise stress Testing team in the implementation of regulatory and non-regulatory initiatives, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall approaches.

• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• An expert technical resource for automation, simulation, analysis and testing efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to automate, test, implement and support a solution
• Analyze and review different options for data integration and provide recommendations on the solution
• Manage the traceability of system requirements through design and development, testing, and deployment; ensure the acceptance criteria demonstrates the changes to systems that will meet stakeholder expectations
• Collaborate to evolve DevOps practices to ensure smooth deployment processes, continuous integration, and delivery
• Create technical system documentation, including process flows, use cases, and technical specifications.
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

Must Have Skills:

• 5-7 years experience required as a BA in banking or financial institutions with strong understanding of financial instruments
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
• 5+ years’ experience with SQL
• Intermediate
• Complex queries.
• Understanding of OFSI processes and requirements
• 5+ years experience testing and validating (QA)

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Python program is a asset
• Experience working to with tools like Jira & Confluence.
• Experience supporting Linux-based systems
• Experience supporting application databases

Soft Skills:

• Solid communication (verbal/written) skills is a must to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Best vs Average: Understanding of project situation and convey and thoughts effectively

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related (technical) degree/diploma
