What is the opportunity?
The Program Manager will provide Investment Counsellors training and best practices in regards to prospecting, business development, onboarding clients, maintaining a wealth management practice, as well as the primary tasks required of their role.
They will design, implement and manage innovative training solutions that allow advisor teams to become more efficient, leverage the right resources to identify opportunities, and provide service excellence.
Please note there may be some travel involved throughout the year.
What will you do?- Create, execute and maintain a comprehensive training programs aligned with the company’s overall business objective that enhances new advisor training, drives a high-performance culture, and develops existing knowledge of building and maintaining a wealth management practice
- Design, implement and manage innovative training solutions that allow advisor teams to become more efficient, leverage the right resources to identify opportunities, and provide service excellence
- Research and apply adult learning theories to maintain a solid understanding of the adult learning models that shape training experiences, to properly assess the learning needs of advisor teams, and to recommend and evaluate appropriate learning solutions
- Deliver in-person training and presentation to a large audience
- Lead discussions and training on the values, vision and commitment of the firm to our clients and communities
- Lead culture orientation for new hires to the firm
- Support Associate Portfolio Manager Training and other training initiatives as needed
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have- Experience working at PH&N Investment Counsel Inc or a strong understanding of the Investment Counselling business in Canada
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of the wealth management industry, including full-service brokerage
- Comfortable in front of a room delivering in-person training/coaching to large groups
- Aptitude towards learning new software, strong ability to be self-taught and seek opportunities to apply software to real-life business situations in order to increase relevance to the learner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Microsoft Suite skills, specifically PowerPoint
- Project Management experience
- Retail Brokerage Experience in a branch setting
- Strong understanding of Business processes and applications
- Successful completion of Aptitude Suitability and Personality Compatibility Software
- Good knowledge of business trends and sales methodologies in the wealth management industry
