Warehouse Outbound Team Lead
The Outbound team lead will support warehouse operations by organizing and prioritizing the release of orders, leading the picking and packing teams, and arranging pick up schedules with carriers.
The ideal candidate will have a learner’s mindset and be comfortable using computers and radio frequency (RF) equipment, able to understand directions and train warehouse associates on outlined work processes, and hold a valid forklift certification for reach truck and/or counterbalance.
The Warehouse Outbound Team Lead will be responsible for engaging in and overseeing the following activities:
- Packing orders to ensure that customers receive order intact in as short time frame and accurate as possible while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Load, unload, and store products and/or materials.
- Ensure Health & Safety policy is in effect and being adhered to.
- Ensure warehouse consumable inventory is tracked and ordered as needed.
- Ensure 6S policy is in effect and adhered to.
- Support deviation and claim validation processes.
- Support productivity tracking and provide feedback as needed to associate.
- Stack and/or transport materials and products to designated areas.
- Complete paperwork and operate inventory management systems as needed.
- Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
- Complete cycle count as required.
- Perform daily safely inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks
- Ensure facility is audit ready at all times
- Communicate and report any incidents to supervisor.
- Satisfy the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly output and accuracy metrics
- Keeping work zone clean and orderly so that warehouse is a safe and clean work environment
- General warehouse duties and housekeeping tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year working in a warehouse / outbound department preferably with prior Team Lead experience
- Experienced with ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Analytical, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills required.
- Available to work within flexible operations as business demands require
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to read, write and understand English for the purpose of maintaining safe and accurate operations
- Understanding key principles of inventory record keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word & Excel) and comfortable navigating online portals
- Safely operate Powered Industrial equipment to move products or materials for manufacturing such as Counterbalance/Reach truck/ equipment.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification is an asset.
- Ability to accept additional tasks, duties, and direction from management.
