• Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
• Job type: Temporary to possibly Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to ensure alignment with corporate goals and timelines.
• Oversee internal controls at the plant level for operations, sales, and finance; perform audits on bills of materials and product costing.
• Analyze and report the current month’s financial results, ensuring accuracy in all transactions and reporting.
• Maintain accurate physical inventory records, conduct regular reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies between book and physical counts.
• Review and analyze production, labor, material, and manufacturing overhead costs to ensure accurate costing in line with production operations.
• Attend plant meetings, participate in walkthroughs with the General Manager, and facilitate discussions on production issues, inventory, and costs.
• Document, manage, and optimize ERP/MRP systems to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
• B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• CPA designation (preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within accounting or finance in a fast-paced job shop manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in costing systems and financial reporting software
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and report financial data accurately
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
