Adecco is currently seeking an experienced Controller for a temporary to possibly permanent position. This role offers a competitive hourly rate between $110–$130 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on internal controls, financial reporting, and cost management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and strategic plans to ensure alignment with corporate goals and timelines.
- Oversee internal controls at the plant level for operations, sales, and finance; perform audits on bills of materials and product costing.
- Analyze and report the current month’s financial results, ensuring accuracy in all transactions and reporting.
- Maintain accurate physical inventory records, conduct regular reconciliations, and investigate discrepancies between book and physical counts.
- Review and analyze production, labor, material, and manufacturing overhead costs to ensure accurate costing in line with production operations.
- Attend plant meetings, participate in walkthroughs with the General Manager, and facilitate discussions on production issues, inventory, and costs.
- Document, manage, and optimize ERP/MRP systems to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- CPA designation (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within accounting or finance in a fast-paced job shop manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in costing systems and financial reporting software
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and report financial data accurately
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
