Senior Director, Theatrical Sales
ELEVATION PICTURES is a leading Canadian distributor and producer of independent feature films. We're seeking a Senior Director, Theatrical Sales that is highly motivated with passion for film and entertainment to join the Film Sales team. The ideal candidate is someone who is excellent at multitasking and data-driven analysis who wants to be part of an exciting and vibrant Canadian film distribution company.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as a market specialist and trusted consultant on the potential theatrical revenue for a film, including collecting, analyzing and forecasting box office data
- Manage client relationships and the theatrical distribution of content, driving revenue targets in line with expectations
- Establish and develop relationships within the Canadian exhibition, distribution and production community
- Act as a key point of contact on the Distribution team and discussing strategies with International and Canadian partners
- Coordinate with internal teams to maximize revenue and align release strategy
- Work with the sales team to negotiate theatrical engagements of multiple titles simultaneously on a weekly basis
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the successful execution of negotiating film terms with Canadian Film Festivals
- Guide and support a direct report, fostering a collaborative working relationship and ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Manage ad-hoc projects as required, including leading initiatives related to emerging technologies, identifying and implementing process improvements, and exploring alternative theatrical opportunities

Requirements- 7-10 years of data-driven decision-making, preferably in the film industry
- Strong understanding of the Canadian film landscape with a preference for people that have booked theatres.
- Past experience as a manager
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field
- Knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and Excel (including Pivot tables). Knowledge of ComScore and Film technology jargon an asset, although not a requirement, a willingness to learn
- Must be reliable, enthusiastic, and be able to work independently.
- The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel
- Must be able to work well under time constraints in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to work in the office a minimum 3 days a week and the willing to work flexible hours, including overtime during the week and on weekends, when necessary.
