What is the opportunity?
As Product Owner in Data & AI, you will develop and deliver data and AI products that simplify business operations and improve efficiency across RBC Insurance, enabling differentiated employee and client experiences. Your role will contribute to the development, design, and refinement of a comprehensive data & AI product strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
What will you do?- Act as the primary bridge between business teams, data teams, and engineering to generate outcomes.
- Work with stakeholders to define business problems and benefits.
- Develop product roadmaps and prioritize work, focusing on client/employee needs.
- Maintain a product backlog and associated release roadmaps, ensuring alignment to OKRs and associated benefits.
- Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance best-practices are followed.
- Collaborate with the product delivery team to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Communicate product updates, insights, and impacts effectively.
What will you need to succeed?
Must Have- 2 to 5 years of experience in product management, as a Product Owner or Junior Product Manager. This is not a senior level position.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban), Jira, Confluence, and backlog management
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated acumen in the Data and Analytics space, with understanding of data pipelines, ELT processes, cloud-based data platforms, data modeling, BI tools and data governance frameworks.
- Understanding of Machine Learning and Generative AI techniques, capacities, applications, and limitations
- Experience in Insurance, Finance, or B2B SaaS
