In this role you will ensure that all tasks are carried out with strict adherence to food safety, health and safety regulations, and company maintenance procedures.

• Shift: Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Sunday to Thursday OR Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Sunday to Thursday
• Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned preventive and predictive maintenance using the CMMS.
• Accurately document all reactive and emergency maintenance activities.
• Diagnose breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate breakdown resolutions effectively with management and team members.
• Participate in technical projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures and training documentation.
• Improve CMMS data integrity and contribute to procedural enhancements.
• Provide timely on-floor maintenance support across shifts, including weekends if needed.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve recurring equipment issues.
• Support implementation of long-term solutions for process optimization.
• Attend technical training sessions to stay up to date on new equipment and technology.
• Follow all company and legislative safety protocols, including PPE and Arc Flash protection.
• Work in full compliance with the company’s safety policies and government legislation.
• Report incidents, hazards, unsafe conditions, and equipment defects to supervisors.
• Use all required personal protective equipment and follow sanitation protocols.
• Adhere to and enforce policies related to food safety and quality.
• Report any food safety or quality concerns promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Prior experience with CMMS and working in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Licensed Millwright (433A) or equivalent maintenance technician certification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and government regulations.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills; capable of root cause analysis.
• Proficient in written/verbal communication and documentation.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and multitasking abilities
• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
