Role Overview

We are looking for a Controller to oversee the financial and accounting functions of our client's growing organization. Reporting directly to the President, you will serve as a strategic partner, ensuring financial excellence in planning, reporting, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Present complex financial information clearly and concisely to all stakeholders.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in financial activities.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team based on financial projections and key performance indicators.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE), tax regulations, and governance policies.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to the Founder, board of directors, lenders, and stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and other financial institutions.
  • Optimize the company’s capital structure and financing strategies to support growth initiatives.
  • Lead cross-departmental communication and promote corporate values to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Identify trends in key financial performance metrics and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies to protect financial interests.
