Your role and responsibilities
The ABB Mesure & Analyse plant in Quebec City is a world leader in the field of spectroscopy. Our contract engineering department is Canada's leading supplier of space-based optical sensors used, among other things, for greenhouse gas emissions monitoring and global weather forecasting.Our plant is also recognized for its expertise in the development and manufacture of a wide range of products that meet the daily needs of industrial analysis.
By joining one of the largest engineering departments in Quebec City, you will actively contribute to the activities of a dynamic and stimulating multidisciplinary team.In this position, you will be responsible for the procurement of electronic parts for our space and defense products (SDS).
- Plan and coordinate the procurement of Electronic/Electrical parts for SDS projects.
- Monitor supplier orders, incoming goods, quality and internal warehouse.
- Optimize procurement strategy through Manufacturing BOMs.
- Support buyers in their negotiation and decision-making strategy for part equivalents.
- Manage communications with project managers regarding material availability.
- Analyze the supplier market and build a relationship of trust with them.
- Ensure internal traceability of components where necessary.
- Actively participate and collaborate in project planning and estimating tasks.
- Technical college diploma with at least a first significant experience in electronic parts procurement.
- Good teamwork skills, rigor, initiative and determination.
- Good knowledge of the Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of Windchill, JIRA and SAP (an asset).
- Knowledge of electronic card manufacturing (an asset).
