Project Coordinator
Position Scope:
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to coordinate scheduling and project controls on a large construction project in the Fort McMurray area. The Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining project controls, scheduling, and analytics as well as construction activities associated with the project requirements.The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with Primavera and will be comfortable working with tight deadlines. Responsibilities:
What You'll Be Doing- Update, track, and maintain a project controls database and reporting sheet.
- Integrating baseline and current Primavera P6 schedules with project controls reporting.
- Identify, document, and manage change orders, ensuring approvals are obtained and communicated effectively.
- Supporting and providing updates to the project schedule.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and field teams to anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Forecast costs, including the creation of cost curves and trends. Incorporating change management into project controls.
- Creation of weekly client reporting.
- Liaison with Client Project controls personnel.
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making and project optimization.
- Creation of short term planning and scheduling based on plans and field conditions.
Qualifications:
What Makes You the ONE- 3-5 years of experience related to construction management, with a focus on project analytics, scheduling, project controls, and field coordination.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a technical field relating to construction.
- Extensive knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Experience with PowerBI is an asset.
- Extremely high attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to proactively identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to emerging and changing priorities.
- Excellent computer skills including excel and other Microsoft packages
