Overview

The People Experience (HR) Representative position contributes to PepsiCo Beverages Canada’s success by supporting the People agenda through implementing strategies and policies to foster harmonious employee relations while meeting key business objectives.

Reporting to the Associate Manager, People Experience, this role will provide PE support to approximately 300 employees in Sales, Merchandising, Delivery and Warehouse at Facilities in Ottawa, Kingston and Fraserville.The ideal candidate has a curiosity for learning with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who has demonstrated the ability to effectively resolve conflict and collaborate.

Ideal candidate must be located in Ottawa.

Responsibilities
  • Support the People agenda for your client groups in the areas of Labour and Employee Relations, Talent Development, Employee Engagement and Change Management.
  • Promote a positive work environment through negotiation and administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreements, managing the grievance process and labour management meetings, and administering Company policies and procedures.
  • Lead and participate in employee investigations and ensure appropriate outcome and follow up
  • Consult with Managers to assess resourcing requirements to develop staffing plans and provide guidance and support to the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Partner with the PE Assoc Manager to support to managers in the talent development and succession planning and Compensation processes.
  • Coach Managers on Change leadership to ensure proper execution and communication of change initiatives
  • Collaborate with Disability Case Managers and other strategic partners (EHS) to manage and support STD, LTD, WCB and Return to Work
  • Participate on national projects with the broader People Leadership team
Qualifications
  • University Degree in Business, Psychology or Human Resources preferred
  • Ability to communicate verbally in French preferred (written not required)
  • Minimum 2+ years of HR experience
  • Proven ability to establish credibility and influence both leaders and Frontline Associates
  • Understanding of employment standards legislation and regulations as well as Ontario Labour law
  • Aptitude to learn system and tools for People Analytics
  • Occasional travel to Branches and National Meetings required (15%-20%)
  • Work from home 1 day per week
