About this team
The Men’s design team is a diverse team of creative and strategic thinkers, who are future thinking, detail-orientated and solution focussed. They are at the forefront of Men’s activewear and aware of macro lifestyle and fashion trends and how this relates to the active industry.They are passionate about Run, Train & Yoga, and fulfilling Men’s needs in their wardrobes. They are strong communicators who value and develop their cross functional relationships. A day in the life:The Design Assistant at lululemon supports in creating world class athletic apparel that is acknowledged as leading in innovation, design, function, fit and quality. You are guided and mentored by the Design Manager and Design Director. You play a key supporting role and this work is key to the success of the line each season.
- Act as Design support - be the Designer’s right-hand person to support with day-to-day tasks: which includes the following:
- Build flat drawings and line overviews as directed by the Designer/Senior Designer
- Presentation preparation - support the Designer/Senior Designer in preparation for major gates e.g, file set up & mockups / prototypes etc.
- Be present for all fitting and design/product meetings to capture feedback and actions
- Support the Designer with the initial setup, maintenance and updating of "Why We Made This" files
- In the DA role, you will shadow some critical design work to showcase and develop your design point of view
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years minimum industry experience is required
- BA, BFA or BS in Design required (or equivalent)
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Excel, Word, Mac platform
- An understanding in 3D design would be a benefit

Compensation and Benefits Package
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $57,100 - 75,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program subject to program eligibility requirements.
