Job Summary

Team Member is responsible for performing their assigned operational position. They are to perform their tasks and position in according to Pathway standards. Working with the team, they are to win the hearts of our guests. They are to hold themselves accountable to all employee guidelines.

Team Member must have a growth mindset, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and proactive. Team Member is expected to act as a brand ambassador and always honour the brand.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities may include:
  • Serve in an operational role as assigned by a Leader
  • Ensure role is performed with excellence
  • Win the hearts of our guests
  • Able to hold themselves accountable for fulfilling their role properly
  • Take initiative and proactively seek out things that need to be done
  • Maintain store cleanliness and organization
  • Completion of any and all assigned Pathway modules
  • Completion of Pathway food safety course within 90 days of hire
  • Follow operational checklists on time and correctly
  • Represent the mission, vision, core values of Chick-fil-A Orillia and the promise to the Operator
  • Provide CORE 4 and Second Mile Service to each other and our guests
  • Communicate professionally and courteously with other team members and guests
  • Retain and follow all restaurant policies, procedures, and requirements
  • Exhibit and maintain knowledge of products, services, and sales promotions offered to assist guests and team members
  • Know all relevant standard operating procedures and pass required assessments or activities
  • Converse with guests in the dining room and patio (weather permitting)
  • Quickly bag and deliver food with order accuracy
  • Deliver trays of food to guests in the dining room and patio, remove trays, refresh beverages, attend to guests needs/requests
  • Keep dining room and washrooms clean at all times
  • Able to work outside to take orders or serve guests (weather permitting)
  • Work in a fast-paces environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Maintain an exceptionally clean, orderly, safe, and sanitary work environment
  • Arrive on time and in full uniform: shirt, pants, belt, non-slip shoes, name tag
  • Execute daily, opening, closing, daily, cleaning, stocking checklists
  • Perform additional job duties assigned by management to support business demands, including but not limited to wiping down tables, cleaning the dining room, greeting guests, line hosting
  • Be proactive in your shift by setting up the team for success (i.e. stocking, cleaning, etc.)
  • Perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, walking, handling materials and boxes
  • Exhibit care for guests and each other all day every day
  • Strive to maintain a healthy working relationship with the team
  • Uphold all policies and quality standards
  • Prepare, cook, assemble, and package raw, hot, and cold food efficiently
  • Clean dishes and equipment
  • Rigorously adhere to food safety and restaurant safety and security practices
  • Other duties as assigned by Operator and Restaurant Leadership to meet business needs

Expectations: Permanent Position. Schedule includes Monday to Saturday, as well as some holidays.

Hours of Operations: 10:30am – 10:00pm. Hours may vary.

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Previous customer service experience an asset
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential
  • Must be at least 15 years of age upon hire date
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Punctual and reliable with the ability to make it to every shift on-time with consistency
  • Able to take direction and learn
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well both on a team and autonomously
  • Calm under pressure and able to work in stressful, fast-paced situations
  • Must be able to respond to changes or edits to orders quickly and efficiently
  • Perform physical activities such as lifting (up to 50 lbs.), balancing, bending, standing for long periods of time, walking, handling materials, boxes, equipment, pots, pans, and navigating shelving both high and low
  • Must be available at least 4 days per week; Fridays and Saturdays included
  • Must be available to open or close 3 days per week
  • Willing to work Friday and Saturday nights
  • Flexible with availability to help meet business needs
