Aon is looking for a Solutions Delivery manager (Senior Consultant or Associate Partner level) for our solutions team within pension administration. The team works closely with clients and internal teams to implement solutions for clients and manage internal projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced subject-matter expert with strong technical experience (both pension technology) and client management abilities.

This can be a hybrid or virtual role with occasional visits to our Montreal or Toronto offices, as well as Canadian clients.

What the day will look like

The Solutions Delivery Manager works closely with clients and internal teams:

  • Establish and maintain a requirements traceability matrix (Requirement, Design, Implementation, Testing) – between the client, Aon and third-party stakeholders, and between internal operations and the IT teams.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery to client ensuring all requirements are traced and fulfilled, as a business leader on a pension implementation project.
  • Participate to the project communication and governance plan to accurately and consistently reflect the requirements, how they are met by the solution and delivered to the client.
  • Understand project dependencies, risks and manage stakeholders’ expectations throughout the project.
  • Help define, direct and manage the project scope with all stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvements opportunities for the client, outline their value and support the change order process.
  • Identify internal process improvements opportunities.
  • Influence solution roadmap to materialize improvement opportunities and meet market needs.
  • Closely work with project managers and other business leaders to proactively manage project changes.
  • Follow project manager discipline to ensure consistency of the implementation project plan.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

The Solutions Delivery Manager is an extremely detailed self starter, can self-manage their workload and projects, and adapt to the audience and evolving priorities.
  • Bachelors degree (preferably in actuarial science, business administration, math, finance) or equivalent work experience.
  • Over 10 years of pension implementation work experience, including over 5 years in a project leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially specific to persuasion, influence, and negotiation.
  • Has track record of being able to influence indirect parties and shared services functions to accomplish client objectives.
  • Exhibits leadership and decisiveness under ambiguous circumstances, can create a positive team environment; encourages collaboration and information sharing with team members; leverages individual strengths of team members.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
  • French / English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally
