Your role and responsibilities
Our emergency lighting manufacturing facility in Montreal is hiring a bilingual sales representative for a territory covering Montreal to Ottawa.As a sales representative, you will divide your time between our Dorval office and on the road, to develop a client base that includes engineers, contractors, school boards, governmental and institutional entities, etc.
This position contributes to ABB's Electrification, Smart Buildings Division, and is based in Dorval.
Responsibilities:- Educate and support agents, distributors, contractors, and engineering firms working with ABB products regarding our product portfolio.
- Support our sales network with market trends, answer technical questions, and resolve issues for our business partners.
- Develop our various business units such as Standard Emergency Lighting, Nexus Pro, Mini-Inverters, and Central Systems.
- Collaborate with our different departments (marketing, order office, central systems, and technical support).
- Support our agents and distributors during events such as table tops, factory visits, conferences, and promotional events.
- Be able to travel within the region from Montreal to Ottawa.
- 7 years of experience in a sales position
- Good knowledge of the lighting product market and our agents and distributors market
- Knowledge of standards and applications related to emergency lighting
- Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
- A collaborative, solution-oriented approach with strong written and verbal communication skills
- A degree in electromechanics (an asset)
- Comfortable providing training in both French and English. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside of Quebec.
