We are in search of an Assistant Controller to add to our Client's team based in Kitchener, Ontario. In this role, you will be crucial to the daily operations of our accounting functions, including Payroll, Project Administration, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities- Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
- Keeping customer credit records up-to-date and accurate
- Addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner
- Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary
- Supporting all Accounting Department staff, offering backup and vacation coverage
- Overseeing Payroll Statutory requirements, reporting, and filings
- Ensuring all taxes and other government reporting are filed timely and accurately
- Managing customer invoicing, cash receipts, and change order administration
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Overseeing the maintenance of Fixed Assets and company-owned Material/Inventory
- Monitoring daily banking activities and performing bank reconciliations
- Coordinating with external IT service providers and other employees
- Managing all aspects of bookkeeping for 2 separate Building Companies
- Interacting with external auditors, banks, and other third parties
- Managing vendor invoice entry, monthly vendor payments, and company credit card process.
