As a Senior Accountant at Passage, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong foundation in accounting principles, and is ready to contribute to the financial health of our company.

You will be a key contributor, working closely with cross-functional teams to manage day-to-day financial tasks and support our long-term strategic goals.

Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership of our accounts payable and receivable processes. You'll manage vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections with precision and care.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date financial records, ensuring accuracy across all entries and reconciliations.
  • Manage the execution of payment transactions, maintaining strong relationships with payment processors, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Contribute to our lending and financing activities by ensuring all processes are in line with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports that provide critical insights into our financial health and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to optimize our financial operations.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial expertise and support company-wide projects.
  • Stay on top of changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring our financial practices are always compliant.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, from med-large firm or in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
  • A strong focus on accuracy and a methodical approach to financial tasks.
  • Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to managing tasks and a high level of personal accountability.
