About The Role

The Technology Operations Lead at Sherpa° will play a critical role in driving the effectiveness of our Operations through Technology. You will lead initiatives to enhance our tools, systems, and processes, ensuring they meet the needs of our team, and exploring the cutting edge of technology including Artificial Intelligence.

As a visionary with a strong IT background, you will spearhead projects that improve user experience, optimize processes, and leverage technology to elevate our product and service delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and management of technology that enhances operational effectiveness with Cloud computing, Generative Artificial Intelligence, and whatever new paradigm comes next.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices in travel technology (i.e. SOC2 Type 2, GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Provide training and support to team members on technologies and processes.
  • Maintain and administer technology systems.

  • Leadership and Vision: Drive the strategic direction for technology operations, ensuring alignment with Sherpa's mission and business objectives.
  • Eye for Experience: Collaborate with vendors and team to create seamless digital experiences that improve operational effectiveness and create new capabilities.
  • Feedback Loop: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather insights, requirements, and feedback, ensuring comprehensive integration of team needs into our technology.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in information technology, systems administration, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in leading IT implementation projects, especially including Generative Artificial Intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels and managing projects to a deadline.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement new technologies that align with business objectives
  • Lead the implementation, integration, and management of enterprise applications with our identity provider (Okta)
  • Establish and maintain SSO architecture using SAML and SCIM for seamless user provisioning and deprovisioning
  • Create and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures that enhance security while supporting business agility
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments
  • Experience and firm understanding of tools like Rippling, HubSpot, Zapier, Gsuite, and Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the expected salary range for this role is $60,000 CAD to $75,000 CAD. The starting base pay will depend on various factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.

Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
