Summary:
The Team Leader, Training & Development is responsible for shaping the direction of CSN Performance offerings, which include training, best practices, and engagement initiatives. This role involves working closely with CSN Departmental Leaders, the Field Operations Team, and the Director, People and Culture to assess needs, establish direction, and promote effective communication.The Team Leader ensures that all focus areas are well-planned, accessible, documented, and continually refined to drive the success of CSN Licensees and CSN Collision staff globally. They will also create a clear plan for delivering training initiatives and establish feedback mechanisms, such as regular reporting, to foster collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
The role will report into the Director, People & Culture.
Primary Objectives:
- Responsible for the overall direction of training and development, both for our CSN licensees and CSN Corporate Staff.
- Assist the Director of People and Culture to create a Training and Development Plan to help corporate staff and our Licensees (CSN Centres) Grow and Perform.
- Research content, supervise the development of learning materials and development programs ensuring alignment with CSN Business Goals, while utilizing learning and training industry best practices.
- Monitor the quality of the learning experience to ensure the company's standards are maintained while maximizing ease of use and understanding while improving efficiency and participant motivation.
- Assessment of the learning to ensure the delivery processes which may include e-learning, remote learning, train the trainer, web-based learning, is the most suitable method based on audience of receiving training.
- Identify learner challenges and potential change management barriers and develop proactive strategies to address them.
- Design and/or deliver learning opportunities for targeted groups while ensuring achievement of desired outcomes and optimization of knowledge transfer
- Design and implement methods to measure program effectiveness.
- In collaboration with internal/external stakeholders participate in needs assessments to identify training and development priorities and propose recommendations to align the business and help CSN Grow and Perform.
- Establishing solid relationships with Internal stakeholders, as well industry training providers to understand needs of each stakeholder and establish training programs that add value to CSN Collision as a whole.
- Leverage, manage and maintain the Learning Management System to support all training objectives
- Develop processes and tools for staffing and training activities
- Manages the costs of planned programs and able to demonstrate the return on investment of any training program
- Manage your team, coach them to identify and incorporate best practices in training design and delivery, innovation and change management
Requirements
Education and experience- Candidate should possess a university designation or a combination of experience and education
- Candidate must have 5 years, with at least 3 years in of leadership experience.
- Ideally candidate possess the ability to read, speak and write in both English and French languages.
- Advance Knowledge of Microsoft Office, learning Management Systems.
- Strong project management experience with focus on training curriculum development
- Understanding or Experience in how a Collision Operation functions or equivalent experience
- Requires strong attention to detail in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent ability to partner with colleagues and function as part of a small team delivering high volumes.
- Continuous learner with an open mindset and comfortable learning from other team and our licenses.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and in good standings
- Strong Knowledge in creating training and development programs in a variety of modalities- virtual, in-person, self-directed etc.- for a best-in-class learning experience that offers a blended learning approach
- Ability to create an effective and inclusive training and development environment for all learners
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt to change
- Data Analytics proficiency coupled with strong analytical ability and attention to detail, using logical and organized thinking and clear communication skills
- Being able to make decisions independently, while understanding when to solicit another opinion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and self-starter attitude, with the ability to be tactful, clear and empathetic communicator.
- Excellent facilitation skills, and attention to detail skills (to be able to proofread training materials).
- Able to quickly learn customer specific technical applications to train end users
- Candidate has a critical thinking approach to problem solve and is a forward thinker
- Able to encourage and motivate and engage people
- Being accountable for their own commitments and deliverables, as well as those of colleagues
- Able to manage relationships in a collaborative manner, with a wide range of stakeholder groups and personality types, applying diplomacy to reach win-win resolutions
- Required travel expectation up to 15%, which may require overnight stays.
- The environment for this role is fast paced and complex, involving urgent timelines, multiple competing priorities and negotiations with numerous external stakeholders and internal departments within CSN
- To have the ability to meet deadlines, which from time to time are not flexible.
- This is a hybrid role which requires the successful candidate to work from our corporate office 2 to 3 times per week.
