Job Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Maintenance this individual is responsible for the coordination, oversight and tracking of Porter Airlines aircraft cleanliness programs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and direction for Porter and contracted aircraft cleaning teams throughout our network, ensuring the execution of Aircraft Overnight Grooming, Interior Deep Cleaning, and Exterior Aircraft Washes.
  • Create and maintain a cabin apperance and grooming standards manual.
  • Ensuring cleaning procedures and cleaning products are aligned throughout our network.
  • Track and record all work completed.
  • Build and maintain aircraft cleaning tracking spreadsheets.
  • Schedule unforeseen/unplanned aircraft cleaning tasks.
  • Identify gaps in our cleaning frequency, and engage operational departments and aircraft cleaning personnel to service aircraft.
  • Ensure all interior and exterior stakeholders are aware and aligned with cleaning needs and plans.
  • Ensuring our aircraft cleanliness standards are met throughout our network.
  • Conduct audits and spot checks to ensure quality of work.
  • Attend procedural and document audits from various entities.
  • Resolving Porter and contractor aircraft cleaning scheduling issues.
  • Notifying management of any deficiencies, scheduling and quality of work issues.
  • Inventory checks and ordering cleaning supplies as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines related to aircraft cleaning and appearance (PHAC - Public Health Agency of Canada)
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to aircraft cleanliness and appearance.
  • Actively participates in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in airline operations or business administrative settings.
  • Aircraft Maintenance background an Asset.
  • Excellent and proven organizational skills.
  • High school diploma with airline operations and/or aircraft grooming background.
