Adecco is currently seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide crucial administrative support. This temporary position offers a competitive salary of $21 per hour and provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the management of the client and its three adjudicative tribunals/boards.
  • Review and process per diem and travel expense claims for order-in-council appointees.
  • Maintain a bring-forward system in a busy, high-volume work environment.
  • Assist stakeholders with tasks and issue resolution.
  • Open, organize, and log incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Respond to phone and in-person inquiries about adjudicative health tribunals.
  • Arrange logistics for meetings, including boardroom set-up and preparation.
  • Prepare and distribute both paper and electronic materials for board hearings and reviews.
  • Produce materials using various computer software such as spreadsheets, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Assist in the administration and processing of financial information and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Prior experience in government ministries or the public sector is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of administrative procedures and practices.
  • Experience in scheduling a high volume of competing appointments.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a changing work environment.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and methods.
  • Knowledge of financial management systems and budget coordination.
  • Ability to review and analyze expense claims for policy compliance.
  • Strong communication skills to respond to inquiries diplomatically.
  • Ability to prepare standard correspondence with accuracy.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Pro PDF software, and case management tools (e.g., WIN and IFI).
