What is the opportunity?

In your role as Vice-President, National Accounts, RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM), you will have the opportunity to manage and grow the strategic relationships with some of Canada’s largest investment dealers and National Accounts partners.
The Vice-President, National Accounts will represent the entire range of RBC GAM and RBCiShares products. You will play a key role in driving business growth by supporting the execution of our National Accounts strategy and ensuring our products are effectively positioned within the market.

What will you do?
  • Expand and support existing relationships with head offices and partners, as well as identify and pursue new relationships and opportunities
  • Collaborate with our Head Office and National Accounts partners on a day-to-day basis and champion the account at all levels internally to ensure client service needs are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans
  • Respond to all key contact inquiries such as RFIs, RFPs and general questions
  • Partner with firms to increase GAM’s participation in marketing initiatives such as national and regional conferences, advisor training programs, conference calls, webinars, and other programs
  • Work with our internal sales teams to provide key support from a head office perspective

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have:

  • 5 plus years’ experience servicing and building relationships and assets within the institution and/or retail investment industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of distribution and manufacturing landscapes in Canada
  • Excellent understanding of the investment solutions competitive landscape and trends (mutual funds, ETFs, segregated funds, etc.)
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task under tight timelines, work independently and work within a team environment
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce or Business Administration

Nice to Have:

  • CFA and/or CFA candidate or other professional designation (i.e. CIM/PFP)
  • Bilingual French communication is an asset
  • Existing relationships with IIROC & Dealer firm analysts, key decision makers and management
  • Knowledge and experience with private or public market alternative investment strategies
