We're looking for a mission-driven Senior Manager, Philanthropy who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.
Your Impact at CNIB- Develop and execute tailored strategies to secure 6- and 7-figure philanthropic gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and institutional funders, cultivating relationships to maximize engagement and long-term impact.
- Identify and cultivate new corporate partnerships and foundation funding opportunities.
- Develop customized sponsorship and partnership proposals aligned with corporate social responsibility goals.
- Oversee stewardship and reporting for corporate and foundation partners, ensuring timely and impactful recognition.
- Oversee donor pipeline development, including prospect identification, research, and qualification.
- Develop compelling proposals, impact reports, and donor stewardship materials.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and site visits to inspire donors and align their philanthropic goals with CNIB’s mission.
- Work with senior leadership and volunteers to facilitate donor cultivation and solicitation strategies.
Requirements
Who you are:
Education and Certifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fundraising, business development, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in major gift fundraising, corporate partnerships, and foundation relations.
- Demonstrated success in securing 6- and 7-figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with major donors and stakeholders.
- Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and strategic planning abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and donor prospecting tools.
- Knowledge of best practices in donor stewardship, moves management, and philanthropic trends.
- Adheres to applicable privacy laws as well as AFP, CAGP and CNIB standards of discretion and confidentiality.
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with a focus on efficiency.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Occasional travel is required.
- Driver's license is an asset, but not required.
