About Our Client

Our client is a highly regarded Design-Build firm, specializing in high-rise residential refurbishment projects across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). They are seeking a Junior to Intermediate Estimator with expertise in tenant leasehold improvements, interior work, and renovations.

• Generate precise and competitive cost estimates for renovation and refurbishment projects, primarily focusing on mixed-use residential and condominium properties.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to verify cost accuracy.
• Work in close partnership with project managers, site supervisors, and other key stakeholders to ensure the feasibility and financial effectiveness of projects.
• Assess material, labor, and equipment needs for each project.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier quotes to secure competitive pricing.
• Keep an up-to-date database of costs, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Support the development of project budgets, proposals, and bid submissions.
• Attend site visits to gain a deeper understanding of project requirements and potential constraints.

• At least 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry as an Estimator, with a focus on tenant leasehold improvements, interior renovations, and the repair of condominium or mixed-use buildings.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with estimation software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet stringent deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
