Controller

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Guelph, Ontario. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, including reporting, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the company's financial health and supporting strategic decision-making.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in line with Canadian accounting standards, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Analyze financial results to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights for strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements by managing external audits and submitting all necessary filings.
• Collaborate with department leaders to develop annual budgets and monitor performance against financial goals.
• Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and a collaborative work environment.
• Optimize cash flow operations by managing working capital, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Develop long-term financial models to forecast company performance and support growth initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and leverage technology to enhance financial operations.
• Partner with leadership to evaluate capital investments and ensure efficient resource allocation.
