Context:
We are looking for an Architect with experience in delivering complex projects from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and creative mind to take on dynamic and challenging projects and be part of creative design initiatives on transit projects both locally and internationally.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Contribute to the process of creating and developing the fundamental design principles to guide a project from the earliest stages of its conception and continue to assist in its development and refinement through subsequent design and implementation phases. This is including, but not limited to:
- site selection;
- project planning;
- programming;
- consultant selection;
- contract negotiations;
- construction contract administration;
- facilities management and maintenance;
- Other design and construction activities as per each project requirements.
- Collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance Systra Canada Transit Station & Facilities department’s culture for design excellence
- Assist in the preparation of Business Development (BD) proposals in bidding for new work as needed.
Profile/Skills:
Education: Bachelors degree in Architecture and Member of the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ).Years of experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural design (preferably in transit and train stations/facilities).
Technical Skills:
- Experience in all phases of project design development
- Good knowledge of building codes and specifications
- Experience with Revit
- Experience in transit station design will be considered as an asset
- Experience on large multidisciplinary teams will be considered as an asset
- Fluency in French and functional level of English in order to be able to work closely in collaboration with stakeholders in Ontario.
