The Restaurant Technology analyst is responsible for supporting in the selection, deployment, configuration, operation and ongoing support of all technology systems powering restaurants. This includes POS systems, kitchen display systems, payment systems, etc.

and the necessary integrations.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 / year

Responsibilities

Technical Operations
  • Supporting the daily operation of technology systems within the restaurant, ensuring optimal performance, minimizing downtime. Ensuring technology solutions are fully utilized to maximize operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in the implementation of selected technologies, ensuring smooth installation, configuration, and integration with existing systems. Coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that all technology solutions are deployed on time and meet operational requirements.
  • Serve as tier 2-3 point of contact for system-related issues, providing hands-on troubleshooting and escalation to vendors when necessary.
Technology Planning & Management
  • Document current workflows and assist in implementing new technology-based processes to improve efficiency.
  • Provide insight about system usability or common problems from staff members to help improve operational processes.
  • Partner with the support team to ensure they are trained to answer level 1 and some level 2 incidents and change requests and well as taking over some operational tasks (backup, updates, configuration changes, etc.)
  • Provide support during downtime or system malfunctions.
  • Help coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance or support, such as scheduling service calls for faulty equipment or ordering replacements.
Training & Personal Development
  • Stay updated in latest versions of current systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Up to 3 years of experience in managing technical systems, ideally in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach to support.
  • Availability for rotational on-call duties, including evenings and weekends.
  • This is an in-office role based in Vancouver, BC.
