IT Network Intern
Overview:
Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, is looking for an IT Network Intern to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company for the period of May 1, 2025 to December 31 2025. To support our focus on delivering high quality products, we are looking for an enthusiastic internship student to add to our Information Services team.This role will give you an opportunity to work on exciting projects. By working with world-leading experts you will gain valuable experience working with a technology leader on some of our most exciting IT projects.
The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based onsite in Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities:
As a IT Network Intern, your responsibilities may include:
- Working with the different Information systems teams with the focus on improving the operational efficiency of the network team.
- Auditing and documenting existing system to help identify key areas for improvement.
- Following the direction of the analysts, implementation of key improvements to the network, infrastructure, applications, or other services
- Identifying improvement oppurtunities and using your skills to make a difference.
Lastly, as the knowledge of the Intern improves on the Hexagon systems, they will help on the day-to-day operations of the team by triaging queue tickets and where possible resolving those tickets.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Registered in an Engineering or Information technology Internship/Co-op program and have completed at least your 2^nd or 3^rd year of studies by the start of your work term, returning to post-secondary upon completion of internship
- Available for a minimum 8 month work term
- Strong academic credentials
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written

- You are comfortable working individually but know when to ask for help
Nice-to-Have:
- Networking, Server, Desktop Support, Application support practical experince
- Server operating system experince
- ITIL training
