Job Description:
The Human Resources Manager will assist the Director of Human Resources in managing the day-to-day core practice areas including recruitment, onboarding, labour relations, learning and development, recognition, orientation, attendance management, performance management, WSIB case management, health and safety, benefits administration, human resource policies, and offboarding.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment from job postings, interviews, references, background checks, to offer.
- Facilitate orientation and oversee onboarding and offboarding process.
- Serve as an active member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, assisting Co-chairs to plan and maintain records of committee activities as required.
- Manage LMS data ensuring compliance with required training.
- Ensure all WSIB policies and processes are adhered to and manage claims activity to ensure compliance.
- Provide interpretation and advice regarding the administration of pertinent legislation, company policies, and the collective agreement.
- Support and coach managers in mediating associate issues or concerns, attendance management, and performance management.
- Lead projects that have a hotel-wide impact such as orientation, service recognition and awards, engagement activities and special events.
- Assist managers with attendance management, performance management, LOA, modified duties, and return to work.
- Manage the planning and execution of associate events and activities.
- Manage HR data in ADP and prepare management reports as needed.
- Conduct exit interviews and stay interviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years Human Resources experience. Hotel experience preferred.
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources with CHRP or working towards CHRP designation.
- Management experience is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and handle urgent deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must have strong MS Office knowledge including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point.
- Previous experience with ADP WFN, Kronos, Adobe LMS an asset.
