Your Role:

As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner – Sourcing & Talent Programs, you will play a critical role in Peel Region’s workforce strategy by developing proactive sourcing approaches, building diverse talent pipelines, coaching hiring leaders, and leading talent programs.

This is an opportunity to make an impact by ensuring Peel Region has the right talent to meet its evolving workforce needs.

You will act as:
🔹 Business Partner – Consulting with and advising senior leadership teams on strategic talent acquisition approaches for leadership and complex roles.
🔹 Talent Strategist – Partnering with hiring leaders to assess workforce needs, anticipate future hiring challenges, and develop proactive sourcing strategies.
🔹 Sourcing Specialist – Using innovative and data-driven sourcing techniques to attract high-potential candidates, build relationships, and maintain diverse talent pipelines.
🔹 Program Lead – Designing and executing key talent programs, including early talent initiatives, internships, and workforce development strategies.
🔹 Advisor & Coach – Providing expertise, training, and coaching to hiring leaders on talent attraction, inclusive hiring practices, and candidate assessment.
🔹 Employer Brand Ambassador – Elevating Peel Region’s visibility as an employer of choice through strategic outreach, networking, and employer branding initiatives.

🔹 People Leader – Supporting and mentoring team members by fostering best practices, driving collaboration, and ensuring continuous improvement in recruitment efforts.

What You’ll Do:

✔ Strategic Talent Partnering & Workforce Planning
  • Partner with hiring leaders to assess workforce needs and develop long-term sourcing and talent acquisition plans.
  • Provide guidance on market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry best practices to shape hiring strategies.
  • Collaborate with leaders to design and implement inclusive hiring processes and workforce strategies aligned with Peel Region’s goals.
✔ Proactive Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
  • Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-potential candidates for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines through networking, passive candidate engagement, and proactive relationship-building.
  • Use advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean searches, AI-driven tools, social media recruiting, and referral networks.
✔ Talent Program Leadership
  • Lead the development and execution of early talent programs, including internships, co-op placements, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Strengthen partnerships with post-secondary institutions, professional associations, and community organizations to enhance Peel Region’s talent outreach.
  • Support the growth of a sourcing culture by embedding best practices within the Talent Acquisition team and across the organization.
✔ Consulting, Coaching & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing coaching on candidate experience, talent selection, and strategic hiring approaches.
  • Guide leaders on best practices for talent attraction, assessment, and inclusive hiring.
  • Engage with internal teams, including HR Business Partners and Communications, to align talent strategies with organizational priorities.
✔ Data-Driven Talent Acquisition & Continuous Improvement
  • Use data analytics and recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and hiring processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize recruitment strategies and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging feedback, market research, and industry best practices.

What You Bring to Peel:

  • 6-10 years of experience in recruitment, sourcing, and talent acquisition, with expertise in pipeline development and talent programs.
  • Proven track record of advising and influencing hiring leaders on strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition best practices.
  • Expertise in sourcing using a variety of channels, including digital platforms, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Experience designing and implementing talent programs, with a strong focus on early talent and workforce development.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, coach leaders, and drive consultative talent solutions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, integrating DEI into sourcing and hiring strategies.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM tools, and recruitment analytics.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

  • In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.

It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
