The Team:The Business Management Team, part of BC Timber Sales Provincial Operations, is a collaborative and supportive group focused on providing a variety of administrative support. As an established team, you’ll work closely with a small group of administrative assistants, as well as with other key positions like Executive Assistants, Team Leads, Business Operations Managers, and Directors.

The Role:As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll be responsible for handling incoming correspondence and public requests, helping to organize travel arrangements for directors, and coordinating various meetings. You will also assist with financial tasks, such as matching purchase codes and approval forms to receipts.

Qualifications:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- A minimum of one (1) year clerical, administrative, or secretarial experience.
- Experience providing administrative services to a senior manager and other managers, working in a confidential capacity, managing a calendar, making travel arrangements, booking meetings and appointments, and compiling files, correspondence and resource material.
- Experience using business English in formatting and proofreading a variety of documents and materials using desktop tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience using manual and electronic filing systems, preparing and managing files and documents.
Preference may be given to applicants with any of the following:
- A minimum of two (2) years of clerical, administrative, or secretarial experience.
- Experience or training with ARCS/ORCS and EDRMS.
- Training or experience in basic accounting or bookkeeping such as: monitoring expenditures, coding and processing business expense forms and invoices, reconciling purchase card expenditures; checks accuracy and completeness of financial documentation.
- Experience in contract administration.
- Experience in facilitating virtual meetings.

About this Position: This position is located in Victoria.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies within BC Timber Sales Provincial Operations, Victoria.
