Context:

The Project Management Officer (PMO) plays a key role in supporting project execution by implementing project management standards, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and optimizing project performance.

Missions/Main Duties:

  • Project Governance and Standards:
  • Develop, implement and maintain project management processes, methodologies and best practices.
  • Facilitate project audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Tender phase and project handover:
  • Collaborate with the tender sales manager to understand and document the key assumptions, constraints and strategic elements of the tender.
  • Prepare and coordinate the project handover process to ensure a smooth transition from tender to execution, including the transmission of all relevant documentation, identified risks and decisions taken.
  • Project planning and control:
  • Help define project scope, objectives and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with milestones and deliverables.
  • Monitor project risks and issues.
  • Financial and Resource Management:
  • Support budget planning and cost control activities.
  • Assist in resource allocation to ensure adequate staffing of project teams.
  • Reporting and performance monitoring:
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for management and stakeholders.

Profile/Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management or related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) is an advantage.

Years of experience: At least 3 to 5 years' experience in project management, project coordination or PMO role.

Technical and personal skills:

  • Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, in French and English*
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a spirit of continuous improvement.
